The fabric of play is a sensory play experience, where kids get to be active and creative with handcrafted loose parts made with repurposed materials.

Inspired by my time as a Playcentre mum and my work as a Play Coach with Junky Monkeys, I have spent years exploring the incredible benefits of child-led learning through play.

Driven by this passion, I have combined my love for sewing and play to create immersive, sensory play environments. By adding a sprinkle of natural resources and keeping a strong focus on sustainability, almost everything I make uses thoughtfully repurposed and upcycled elements.It has been an absolute joy bringing these creations to life—experimenting with unique fabrics, textures, and diverse fillings to craft rich, engaging sensory experiences that spark curiosity and imagination in young minds.

Our Environment 

The Fabric of Play offers an open-ended environment designed to be a gentle, quiet space where children can freely explore textures, shapes, sounds, weights, and colours. Within this inviting setting, children naturally learn to play alongside one another—sharing ideas, building social confidence, and collaborating on creative discoveries in a fun, welcoming space.
